The Gates Scholarship for minority students application is due September 15th, 2017. https://www.thegatesscholarship.org/scholarship

The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors. Starting in 2018, the scholarship will be awarded to 300 top student leaders each year with the intent of promoting their academic excellence through college graduation, and providing them the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Basic Eligibility

To apply, students must be:

  • A high school senior
  • From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
  • Pell-eligible
  • A US citizen, national or permanent resident
  • A minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale

 

Since 1994, the Wendy’s® High School Heisman® Scholarship has been recognizing and rewarding senior athletes who excel in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. This year, we're awarding $150,000 in college scholarships. Give your most well-rounded seniors a shot at winning.

The Sleep Judge is announcing the first State of Sleep Scholarship.
We’re offering a $1,500 scholarship to eligible HS seniors, current college and graduate students in an effort to support students who wish to further their education and provide awareness around the importance of sleep. We thought this might be beneficial to senior students of Wetumka High School.
Selection of the recipients is based on the creative entry and academic performance.


Eligibility requirements
Must be current high school seniors attending school in the United States and Canada OR current college students already studying at an accredited U.S. or Canada post-secondary institution
Must be U.S. or Canadian citizens

Statewide Scholarships Available Through OKC Foundation

Our name says Oklahoma City, but we have statewide scholarships! The Oklahoma City Community Foundation is the state's largest third party scholarship provider, meaning that our scholarships are not particularly tied to any one college or university. The Oklahoma City Community Foundation's scholarships are designed to help students go to a school where they want to go. 

 

At the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, we award more than $1.5 million each year in scholarships.Our easy and convenient online application process allows eligible students to apply for one or more of our 115+ applications by completing one general application. The recipients of this scholarship will receive a $1,000 cash award to be used at an eligible Oklahoma career technology center, two-year college, or four-year university. Once both the admission and FAFSA applications are completed, the student’s information goes into a database and then is automatically selected for whichever scholarships they have met criteria for (depending on available funds).

The transcripts and ACT scores can be faxed to 918-293-4643. Below is the link for OSU-IT’s scholarship information and a foster care tuition waiver.
